Great Car - Practical and Fun

I'm 6'4, 350lbs, and I fit in this car. I traded my Nissan Maxima, and this car moves along just fine. Its not 0-60 in under 6 seconds like my last car, but I'm not worried about enough pickup when I merge or pass. I had a Toyota Corolla and Hyundai Sonata with small 4 cyl engines a while back, they were by definition under powered. This car is not. Leave it to motor journalists to give a bad rap to a very fine piece of engineering in the 200hp turbo of the Cascada and a very smooth 6 speed auto. My gas mileage on recommended premium fuel is better than advertised. I'm averaging over 25mpg mixed and the car is barely broken in. I averaged 29.4 on my last 200 mile road trip. The car maybe heavy but it does not handle like it. If anything, it does well on the road because of it. I was pleasantly suprised at how sure footed it was in the last rain storm I was caught in. No fear - not something I could say for how the previous car I had would slip and slide on wet pavement.
More than one stranger has commented "beautiful car" passing by. I've previously owned a Mustang Convertible, and a Volvo C70. This car is better than both in the places it matters to me - like trunk space, usable back seat - and a really good soft top. Having suffered through the maintenance problems of a hard top this quality soft is the way to go. Its not a BMW or an Audi, but it costs a lot less, and is not nearly as pretentious. Its very nice. When I test drove it I was immediately impressed with how well it handled, how quiet it was. I look forward to driving it everyday.
There are a lot of little features engineered into the car that I continue to stumble across. Things like seat belt presenters, motorized seats that ease entry and exit to the back seat are obvious ones. Small things like lights that illuminate your turns at night as you slow down, or the parking sensors that engage when in lot but not traffic are really nice touches. I do miss keyless drive, and the back window is small (Mirrors are good though - don't let it sway you). My only real complaint is the cup holders up front. They will hold 2 normal drinks - but I like the big 44oz cups. The arm rest partially obstructs so only 1 large drink can be fit at a time. A really minor thing to complain about! Put the top down or up while driving up to 30mph(Another REALLY convenient item) is something I really appreciate having not had the ability in prior convertibles. Top down, stereo can be heard, and it sounds better than most. It is listed as premium - and once I got it EQ and balanced decent I find it nice to listen to - My ipod stays plugged in and ready to provide tunes to cruise too. That is what this car is built to do on a sunny day. Front wheel drive, so I can live with it year round when the snow flys.
You can have both in a single car. That is the part I think some of the car enthusiast reviewers have missed. This car does everything above average. Its a well rounded choice - and the design isn't brand new. I take comfort knowing its been around as an Opel, etc, for a few. The kinks are out. What I got is a great car at a reasonable price having all of the features I want. Its practical, and Fun!…

Great looking, especially with the top down, and driving car. Many guys have stopped to ask me about it. Mine is coconut with beige interior; very unusual and eye catching. Quick top down, all windows are express and it has most of the newest technology. Decent gas mileage and good acceleration.…
